RAMAPLAST is a Ramafrique initiative geared towards solving the sanitation crisis faced by Ghana and the world at large. Plastic waste takes up to 1000years to decompose and have over the years been the deadly menace the country faces. The entire country is being swallowed by plastic waste, leaving animals and man in constant battle with these pollutants for healthy space and best of survival.
A quick recap of June 3rd 2015 reminds us of the disaster their lives of multitudes and left the country in an extreme state of shock. Lives were lost in an overwhelming out pour, coupled with the explosion of the filling station at Circle ,Accra. May souls rest in perfect peace. Detailed analysis into the cause of this catastrophe leads back to improper disposal of plastic waste mainly. These plastic waste end up choking sewage outlets, which results in flooding as well as outbreak of diseases . A reduced productivity as commercial activities come to a halt as well huge labour and financial loss to the country fremains the tragic effect of these outpour. This amongst other factors prompted us to embark on RAMAPLAST, the blend of African print and plastic waste as our social responsibility
Poor sanitation is a widespread problem faced by the country and world at large. Ramafrique offers a solution through this collection, RAMAPLAST BAGS. We recycle plastic waste into fashionable go-to bags to help clean the environment. The aim of this project is to encourage patriotism through the care for the environment
